Until our online ordering capability is in place, please refer to the following order instructions.
When you place your order you can choose delivery by mail or coordinate a pick-up with me and save on shipping.
Q: Will my prints look the same as displayed in the Gallery? The images displayed in the Gallery have may not have been cropped and the pixel count has been reduced significantly in size for efficient web viewing. The original image from the camera is 3504 x 2336 pixels or approximately 8.2MP in quality. Depending on the print size ordered or the amount of open space in the image, cropping will be necessary to eliminate white borders or attain more emphasis on the action.
Q: How are the photos/collages printed? All of our printed products and services are processed at a Professional Digital Photo Lab for high quality and long-lasting enjoyment.
Q: What are my photo paper choices? Our Photo Labs of choice offer multiple paper choices: Kodak Professional Metallic, Fuji Pearl Metallic, Kodak Professional Endura (E-Surface) and True Digital B&W. Kodak's Professional Metallic Paper and Fuji Pearl Metallic features a unique pearlescent surface (gloss). It is incredibly strong and highly resistant to tearing. The paper is highly saturated and has a unique, almost three dimensional appearance. Images with bright, bold colors or a lot of blacks, silvers, chromes or gold are truly spectacular on this paper. However, you probably would not choose it for a traditional portrait with soft lighting. This paper is my favorite for Photo Collages. Kodak’s Professional Endura Paper commonly referred to as E-Surface, features a high contrast and color saturation, making it an excellent choice for portrait, candid, event, high-key, and commercial applications. It produces excellent flesh reproduction and softer, smoother flesh from highlights to shadows. It has improved light stability - Over 100 years before noticeable fading in typical home display. It has also improved dark stability - 200 years before noticeable fading in the most common home storage. Choose this paper if you desire a Matte finish.
Water-based lustre coating is an environmentally friendly, non-flammable coating which protects against UV light, finger prints and dust. Please note: Our lab's lustre coating is not visible. It does not change the look of the image in any way. Lustre Coating is not available on Metallic Paper.
Q: Why is "mounting on matboard" recommended on prints 8x10 and larger? Mounting keeps a print stiff and wrinkle free which is critical on larger print sizes. Prints 12x18 and larger use double-weight matboard.
Q: Are there mounting options other than matboard? Yes, 1/8" Masonite is available on prints 8x10 and larger at an additional cost. Masonite is heavier than double-weight matboard and is a perfect choice for prints that require additional support. Canvas Mounting and Standouts are also available upon request.
